Museum Keramion, Frechen

The ceramic manufacturer Gottfried Cremer founded the museum to present his collection and to promote new talents. The result is a double-curved bowl construction, similar to a potter's wheel.

The 8 cm thin bowl has a diameter of 32 metres and is placed on five piles. A hyperboloid emerges from the bowl. The structure is protected by four walls tiled with ceramics. A 5 meter high glass facade opens up to the water basin and garden.
